Maria Luisa by Julio Sagreras - Grade 6 Repertoire for Classical Guitar

The first of two Mazurkas in this grade, Maria Luisa provides a chance for us to gracefully traverse the fingerboard while bringing out a melody that is full of character. A Mazurka is a Polish dance in 3/4 with a strong second beat. It should not be rushed but rather played at a moderate tempo that would suit a dance. If you would like to experiment with different tempi, you might find that the character changes quite a lot.
