Five Special Dogs to receive PDSA Order of Merit

The PDSA Order of Merit celebrates extraordinary animals who demonstrate the unique bond between animals and humans – a bond that is PDSA’s mission to protect. On 14 July 2022, we recognised five very special dogs for their outstanding devotion, loyal companionship, and positive contributions to society. Meet the recipients, who were all formally awarded the PDSA Order of Merit at a special ceremony in London. The PDSA Animal Awards Programme helps to raise the status of animals in society by celebrating the incredible contribution they make to our lives. We believe, just as Maria Dickin did, that raising the status of animals in society helps improve the care they receive and their welfare.
