Toyota Tundra Production Line in the United States in 2022 (Texas Plant) As production of the all-new Toyota Tundra 2022 grinds into high gear at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas, Texas pride is shining brightly in San Antonio (TMMTX). The new iForce MAX hybrid and TRD Pro models are slated to arrive in the spring, but only trucks with the regular twin-turbo V-6 are being constructed. The new generation’s twin-turbo V-6 engine replaces the previous generation’s V-8, producing 348 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque in the base SR model and 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque in the higher trim levels. Tundras can tow up to 12,000 pounds, which is 1800 pounds more than the previous model, and have a maximum payload of 1940 pounds. Rear- or four-wheel-drive models are available with 5.5-, 6.5-, or beds in either crew or extended cab configurations.
