Stand for Children - Beat the Odds - Isaiah Eddington

On November 13, 2013 Governor John Kitzhaber and hundreds of business and civic leaders joined for Stand for Children’s Seventh Annual Beat the Odds Scholarship Awards & Fundraising Luncheon. This inspiring event awarded three $10,000 college scholarships to promising students who have overcome daunting obstacles thanks to excellent teachers, counselors and mentors. Benito Torres-Mata, Brook Thompson and Isaiah Eddington, were chosen from hundreds of applicants across Oregon. This is Isaiah’s story.
