Gilla, real name Gisela Wuchinger (Linz, February 27, 1950), is an Austrian singer. She first performed in her father Niki Wuchinger’s band. After that she studied in Salzburg and sang in the band Traffic and later in Seventy-five-music. After that she came into contact with the German producer Frank Farian and released several singles. Striking was her raw voice, which fitted very well with the sexy and sultry songs that Frank Farian produced for her (for example the German version of Voulez-vous coucher avec moi (Lady Marmalade)). Her biggest next song was the single Tues! (1976). Other well-known songs were Bend me shape me (1978) and We gotta get out of this place.
