Hunter’s Notes: ------------------------------------------------------ *Matrix* ----------------------------------------------------------------- SBD (shnid=30650): Recording Info: SBD > PCM > Dat Transfer Info: Dat (Sony R500) > SEK’D Prodif Plus > Samplitude Professional > FLAC (3 Discs Audio / 2 Discs FLAC) Transferred and Edited By Charlie Miller August 23, 2005 Notes: -- Seamless transition between discs 2 and 3. -- Previous sources labled PCM were actually from a Cassette Master. ----------------------------------------------------------------- AUD (shnid=108370): Recorded by “Da Weez“ Mastered to cdr by D5scott source: 2 Beyer M160 & 1 Sennheiser 421 Microphones > Nak MX100 W/2001 > Sony TC-D5M - analog master cassettes - TDK MA-R90’s 30 feet from stage-center transfer: Sony TC-D5M (original record deck) > Pre Sonus Inspire GT > Sound Forge > .wav files > Trader’s Little Helper > flac and ffp files note: I have recently come into possession of some master analog cassettes recorded by a friend of mine, often referred to as “Da Weez“. He was a weasel about taping shows and would almost always get a great spot up front to make some awesome recordings. Most of these recordings have not been touched in years so get ready, here’s the 1st of many recordings from “Da Weasels Vault“ !!! [6/25/10] [No. 87037, transferred by Dan Gale (9/3/07), patches the last minute and a half of Drums.] ----------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you to Charlie Miller for the SBD transfer, to Da Weez for recording the show, to D5scott and Dan Gale for the AUD transfers, and to Mike Walsh for suggesting this awesome matrix. Matrix by Hunter Seamons using Final Cut Pro (FLAC > AIFF > Final Cut w/EQ > Soundtrack Pro > AIFF CD tracking via Audacity > FLAC16 via xACT w/meta-tagging) August 27, 2020 Notes: There were several sections of dead air in the SBD between songs that were trimmed out to match the AUD cuts. Clicks removed in Space. A few other audio anomalies in the sources were reduced slightly. The low end is a little stronger in this recording than usual for an ’80s recording, which seems to be a good thing. Da Weez’s cassette brought some nice extra bass power that was not EQ’d or tampered with. Phil’s a little hotter out of the gate for the first songs, but not overwhelming or distorted. The Morning Dew is one of Eric F. Wybenga’s top 20. Chronologically, it’s the best Dew since 5/8/77. Some say this show has the best Loser ever, including me.
