3-D WorldRunner (NES) - Longplay

The 3-D Battles of WorldRunner is a 3-D shooter and platform game developed by Square for the Family Computer Disk System and published on March 12, 1987. In game, player assumes the role of Jack WorldRunner, a wild “space cowboy“ who has to save various planets from snake-like creatures. In the game, the player navigates through all three spatial dimensions, jumping over chasms along the way, destroying enemies and collecting power-ups that can be picked up by crashing into cactus-like plants. There are also secret passages to bonus levels: you need to cling to the balloon. In total, the player needs to go through 4 zones on each of the 8 planets in the allotted time and fight with a snake-like boss (on late planets with several bosses), which move in all spatial dimensions. The player always runs forward, can jump and move left or right, but cannot stop or go backward, but can slow down or speed up. The game described in this article is one of the earliest for which a 3D effect was provided. 3D glasses were included with the game cartridge. Let’s Play By DJ Sonic #nes #longplay #8bitgames
