Nebo-M (Sky-M) - Russia’s New Hypersonic Stealth Tracking Radar - Detection Up to 600 km

The Russian Aerospace Defense Forces have used a mobile radar complex to detect aerodynamic and ballistic objects at medium and high altitudes namely the Sky-M radar developed by the Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Radio Engineering. The Sky-M radar is a wide range complex consisting of three large radar modules namely the Nebo-SVU radar version, the Protivnik-G radar version and the Gamma-S1 radar version. The Sky-M radar is capable of operating in difficult interference environments with a long target detection range, high accuracy in measuring target movement parameters, high information update speed and fast connection. The radar also provides operations at ranges of 10 to 600 kilometers, at altitudes of up to 600 kilometers tracking simultaneously up to 200 targets at radial speeds of up to 18,000 kilometers per hour.
