️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Chronicles of the Special Military Operation: Events of February 17 - 19, 2024 ▪️ The AFU conducted another mass drone raid on the border and rear regions of Russia. Two drones were shot down as they approached the village of Wisla Dubrava; destruction was avoided. ▪️ Additionally, Ukrainian forces once again attempted to attack the Kursk nuclear power plant. The downed drone fell on the station’s territory, and the power units are operating normally. ▪️ Another group of drones tried to target locations in the Bryansk region. Russian air defenses shot down 19 drones and successfully avoided any damage. ▪️ Furthermore, the AFU made an attempt to attack infrastructure facilities in Voronezh. Five air targets were shot down, and debris from one of the fallen drones damaged a residential building, but fortunately, there were no casualties. ▪️ The final group of drones managed to reach the Kaluga region. Air defense crews shot down seven enemy UAVs, causing no damage. ▪️ The operation to capture the Avdeevsky fortified area has concluded. The AFU began withdrawing units due to the impossibility of further defense. Disorganized enemy detachments retreated to the west but suffered heavy losses in manpower from attacks by the Russian Aerospace Forces. ▪️ South of the city, Russian troops gained control of the Khimik microdistrict, from where the remnants of the Ukrainian formations retreated. Although small pockets of resistance remain in the city, the Russian Armed Forces are currently clearing and demining the surrounding areas. ▪️ The Russian command seized the opportune moment to launch an attack in the Orekhovsky sector.
