Backpacking to Lindeman Lake // best beginner backpacking trip near Vancouver, BC. (dog friendly)

Lindeman Lake is one of the BEST beginner backpacking trips close to Vancouver, BC. Located in Chilliwack, this hike is short and steep, but the views from the campsite are incredible! You’ll also most likely see some friendly wildlife (ducks & otters) in the lake. Make sure to register for your backcountry camping permit online if you will be staying overnight at the lake - it’s $5 per person. Link to permit info below. If you are a beginner backpacker looking to do your first overnight trip, I highly recommend hiking up to Lindeman Lake. This hike would be equally as awesome as a day hike if you’re not keen on staying overnight. Bonus ’s DOG FRIENDLY! (on leash) I didn’t bring Moon this time, but I saw lots of other doggos on the trail :) Anytime you venture into the backcountry make sure that you have the right gear, permits, and always practice Leave No Trace principals!
