A grand New Year performance was given at the May Day Stadium in the capital Pyongyang on the evening of December 31, 2022. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, appreciated the New Year performance for 2023 together with senior officials of the Party and the government. He came out to the auditorium amid the playing of the welcome music. Children presented him with fragrant bouquets. Kim Jong Un, waving back to the enthusiastically cheering people, sent warm congratulations to the entire audience and the people across the country greeting the New Year. The auditorium was taken by Kim Tok Hun, Jo Yong Won, Choe Ryong Hae and Ri Pyong Chol, Members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, senior officials of the Party and the government and commanding officers of the armed forces organs.
