#10 the day of dance competition

Welcome to our video about the day of dance competition! In this video, we will cover all the important information you need to know about dance competitions, including popular competitions such as KAR dance, spotlight, groove, showstoppers and more. Our dance studio is located in California, specifically in Santa Ana, Laguna Hills and North Hollywood, but keep in mind that competition procedures and rules may vary in other areas. As a dancer, it’s important to arrive at least two hours prior to your performance time with your costume on a hanger and sneakers in your pack. This is because competitions often run ahead of schedule and you want to be ready to go on stage when it’s your turn. Additionally, it’s important that judges and the audience do not see you in your costume before the competition as it can affect fairness. When you arrive, you’ll meet with your instructor near the main entrance and then head to the dressing room. It’s crucial that you stay together with your fellow dancers throughout the day as we cannot go looking for dancers that wander away or sit in the audience. We will usually have you stretch and warm up together, and if time permits, we will run through your dance before hitting the stage. After your performance, it’s important to remember that the day is not over yet. There will be an awards ceremony that can last anywhere from 30-50 minutes. Following the ceremony, we usually take pictures together and then you’re free to go. However, it’s mandatory to come to the instructor and confirm that you are bringing your kids home. If you don’t confirm, your kids will need to stick together with the instructor for safety purposes. Whether you’re a parent or dancer, this video will provide you with valuable information about the day of dance competition. So sit back, relax, and get ready to learn! And don’t forget, if you’re in Santa Ana, Laguna Hills, or North Hollywood, be sure to check out our dance studio for hip hop classes and dance for kids.
