Truck causes sprinkler pipe burst inside Sydney Airport Tunnel

Motorists driving through the Sydney Airport Tunnel were forced to dodge a high-pressure stream of water that ruptured from the roof’s sprinklers just after midday on Tuesday. The leak is believed to be caused by a tow truck in the General Holmes Drive tunnel, which hit the deluge system passing through. Footage captured inside the General Holmes Drive tunnel showed a heavy stream of water gushing down from the roof and splashing onto traffic.
