How to Build a Greenhouse | Post and Beam

Make your own Post & Beam Greenhouse with twin wall polycarbonate glazing and a poured concrete foundation. This timber frame style Western Red Cedar post & beam greenhouse has a base that’s 10 feet by 12 feet. I cover all the carpentry and construction of this garden greenhouse starting with excavation, making the concrete forms and pouring the foundation. Then I move on to cutting, notching, and preparing the posts, beams, ties, and rafters. Followed by the assembly of the post and beam frame. Then I cut and install the twin wall polycarbonate glazing and install it on the walls and roof. There’s also some custom cedar louvered vents and a fan for air circulation. Then I build and install a light-weight cedar door and finish the construction with a two part ridge cap for the roof. There will be a four part detailed follow up video series after this. I have a 14 page greenhouse plan that’s available at the link below.
