Barnardo’s Friends (1965)

The pop star Joe Brown arrives at one of Dr Barnardo’s homes to inaugurate a show-biz scheme for the children, Woodford Bridge, Essex. M/S red E-Type Jaguar pulling up outside Barnardo’s children’s home. M/S of car door opening and pop star Joe Brown climbing out and being greeted by a mass of children, he smiles and laughs and signs autographs for children. Various shots of children with banners reading: “WELCOME JOE BROWN“. M/S of Brown shaking hands with boy he tugs at the boys hair and then at his own turning to the camera and smiling, indicating the similarity in hairstyles.
