Pitfall 3D: Beyond the Jungle - PS1 - Full Playthrough (Blind)

A complete playthrough of Pitfall 3D: Beyond the Jungle. This PS1 exclusive entry in the Pitfall series was released in 1998. It’s a 3D platformer / action adventure with a fixed camera that occasionally gives it a feel, but you always have full 3D movement. Our protagonist Harry (voiced by Bruce Campbell) is exploring a South American jungle when he discovers a lost civilisation that needs help defeating an evil foe. This takes place over 14 levels, including 3 bosses. Many of the levels are free roam, where objectives can be tackled in any order. There are lots of secret treasures and powerups. The treasure earns points which ultimately gets you extra lives. There’s no returning to prior stages, not even through a level select, and the game doesn’t really keep track of your treasure, so the main onus in this playthrough was to just beat the game, not find every treasure. Every level except the first is played blind, but occasionally I’d reload a save if I lost too many lives. It’s always my first time beating each level and reaching each save point though. Progression through this game is handled in many ways. There are save points, lives, checkpoints, continues AND passwords. They’ve certainly got your back. If you’re looking for a particular level or section I have a playlist with separate videos here.
