X23 SWANIGAMI: The Game Changer is coming.

Tuesday, May 23th at SPS ITALIA in Parma the 3D printed prototype of X23 SWANIGAMI bike will be presented in world preview. The X23 SWANIGAMI prototype, completely printed with HP ’s Laser Jet Fusion technology at 3D PROTOLAB Università degli Studi di Pavia will be exhibited at stand F008 in Hall 8 by the technological partner HP. It is a new challenge that from the experiences gained with adaptive design, 3D printing and additive manufacturing to bring transformative innovation at the service of performance has the ambition to take track and performance cycling to a higher level. The partnership between Bianca Advanced Innovations, TOOT Engineering, T°RED Bikes, T RED Factory Racing Team, CompMech@UniPV Università degli Studi di Pavia ITIR - Institute for Transformative Innovation Research with my technical and design supervision, the engineering of Ferdinando Auricchio and Gianluca Alaimo with the PAvia University staff it’s another step towards a bike that can bring innovation to the Paris 2024 Olympics without cutting corners or marketing hype. The bike, following the guidelines outlined by the THEFALCON project - already a winner in world-class competitions - was conceived with a typical motorsport approach, combining research, design, innovative materials, aerodynamics and additive manufacturing technologies to offer unparalleled performance on track. Thanks to the adaptive design and the “digital twins“ bicycle/cyclist simulation systems with 3D scans and modeling compared to simulations in the wind tunnel, it is possible to control the complex and dynamic system of the athlete’s body since the beginning of the design phase by conceiving the custom as a new standard. Using advanced 3D modeling, simulation and scanning techniques, the design team was able to optimize the athlete’s position in order to develop a disruptive frame geometry for maximum efficiency and speed. The possibility of building the frame prototypes and all the components and parts in 3D at the 3D PROTOLAB of the University of Pavia made it possible to simulate and test positions, aerodynamic efficiency in the wind tunnel, different geometries in order to combine 3D printed parts with machined or forged metal parts and composite material parts. To ensure that each X23 is perfectly suited to the individual rider, the bike is manufactured using an advanced additive manufacturing technique.
