A legacy of crime, murder, and bad blood haunts two feuding families in the Ozarks of Arkansas. As a child during the first years of Prohibition, Othar Pruitt witnessed his father gunned down by a rival bootlegger. Thirteen years later, Othar is grown and carrying on with his family business — running moonshine over state lines. Between keeping up with his Grandpa’s distillery and harassing the local sheriff, Othar and his partner Dewey still make time to flirt with the girls and, occasionally, exchange bullets with the Woodalls.
