Bullying is fear driven behaviour which takes on many forms including physical, verbal, cyber and social abuse. Bullies believe that using aggressive behaviour towards others is the most effective way to build their self-esteem. Although we recognize the fact that there may be underlying issues contributing to the negative behaviour being portrayed by bullies, it is fundamentally unacceptable. True strength does not come from putting others down. It takes an immense amount of courage to stand up and speak out instead of ignoring and accepting the bad behaviour of others. It is not an easy journey, but it is important to remember that you are never alone. Lean on your support network and find your strength.
