The Best Winter Hat You’ll Ever Make! This little piece of fabric changes everything!

In this video, we’re going to show you how to make the best winter hat you’ll ever make! This little piece of fabric changes everything! This earflap hat is the perfect solution if you’re looking for a warm and stylish hat to wear in cold weather. With just a few simple steps, you can create a stylish and warm hat that you’ll love! So pull out your sewing machine and let’s get started! Let me share with you the secret ingredient in our Winter Hat Business. We call it an earflap and when added to the hats in our line, they come the fastest selling hats in our inventory. Sold out every year. Our customers love this special feature in our hats and over the course of our first design attempt over 25 years ago, the earflap hat made us stand out in the crowd of hat companies and built our winter hat line in the driving force behind our successful 36 years strong hat business. We will share with you our pattern for the earflap and how to use it in a furry pillbox hat in this tutuorial. You can use this flap to finish any hat so make sure you get your complimentary pattern piece here as a PDF download. You can cut in on a fold or print two pieces of the pattern and tape them together. Use a medium weight polar fleece to create this warm and cosy hug for your head. We always use the color black as it just blends in like a shadow under the brim no matter what the color is for the rest of the hat. When using the earflap in a complicated hat pattern you may have to slightly increase the length and size of any pieces to accommodate for the thickness of the flap and the space it may take up in your hat. Most of us wear the flap down over our ears rather than tuck it up inside. You can do both. I recommend trying this out using our Furry Pillbox pattern/video and you will be forever in love with your new hat! Note - you do not have to increase the depth of your hat as the earflap extends the length to cover your ears.
