Yiddish and its role in the history of Ukraine We shot this little movie in the summer of 2021, the last summer in Kyiv before the war. It was supposed to be released in the winter of 2022 but the senseless bloody war waged by russia against us has changed our plans. The young man who was supposed to edit the video is now on the frontline. Our consultant, editor and tutor with whom we learned Yiddish has left abroad. And us - for a long time we felt that it wasn’t the right time for all the projects from our past peaceful life. But today we realized the importance of the material we had prepared. We are confident that many will find the information that we share in this video interesting and helpful. It’s possible that certain facts we present will become unexpected and will be a great occasion to reflect on our common history.
